GENDER, GENRE AND BIG BUDGETS

Recent shifts within genre films are signs of important changes in the film industry. GENDER, GENRE AND BIG BUDGETS invites you to join a discussion about the dynamic relationship between genre and gender and ways in which women think and shape contemporary genre in cinema and television.

Our anual network meeting during the Berlin International Film Festival will kick off with the historic signing of the Pledge 5050x2020 by Berlinale director Dieter Kosslick. We will host the event GENDER, GENRE AND BIG BUDGETS for the first time in collaboration with Women in Film and Television Germany.
