Synopsis
Jugendzeit (Younger Days): In this film, produced in the GDR, Anke, Birgit and Katrin are studying for a senior high school diploma in cattle farming, for the duration of which the three girls live in residential school. We hear them reflecting on topics such as the future, planning a career and founding a family. They also take a critical look at one another. Jugendzeit … in der Stadt (Younger Days in the City): the young adults here are on the verge of major decisions about their plans for the future. In the group, they discuss their expectations on life and the question of what it actually means to be young. Even the wish for one of those big wall cupboard units in your first flat can trigger debate!
