Idyll

Germany 2009, Experimental, 3' | Director, Realization Astrid Busch | Sound Harald Opel | Music J. U. Lensing

Synopsis
A film from a single image: the film is based on a single 35mm black & white negative frame. Astrid Busch has processed the image in various ways. By hand with a laser pointer in the darkroom and digitally, and she has included drawn animations.

"These fragments exert a peculiar fascination, they seem to be like image riddles without a solution, like heavy damage to a seemingly intact picture. [...] The experimental film questions the medium itself in a highly exciting and stimulating manner by concentrating on its smallest unit. A technically sophisticated meditation with many reference points and which does not fall into any clear categories."
