Well, Well, Well

Got to, wanna, got to, wanna. Raise your hand. Raise your voice. Raise your head up from the desk. Look who's here. Well well well. The feminist electro-punk band Le Tigre, which split up in 2007, originated in the Riot-Grrrl movement, of which band member Kathleen Hanna was one of the founders and leading figures. In this visual interpretation of a song from their album Feminist Sweepstakes, Le Tigre do unusual things with office utensils.

New York experimental filmmaker ELISABETH SUBRIN studied film at the Massachusetts College of Art and the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. In her films, she examines the relationship between the story and the subject, specifically on the basis of female biographies. Subrin tries to bridge the gap between the feminism of the 70s and post-feminism. Her work has been screened worldwide at festivals and in museums, including the Museum of Modern Art and the Guggenheim Museum in New York. Subrin has numerous teaching posts, including at Harvard University and Yale University School of Art.
