Nation Estate is a sci-fi short offering a clinically dystopian yet humorous approach to the Middle East deadlock. The film explores a vertical solution to the question of Palestinian statehood, namely: one colossal skyscraper housing the entire Palestinian population – now finally living the high life.

Born in Jerusalem, Larissa Sansour studied art in Copenhagen, London and New York. She works on an interdisciplinary basis and exhibits around the world at festivals and at venues such as the Tate Modern in London, the Brooklyn Museum in New York and the Centre Pompidou in Paris. One of her most recent solo exhibitions led her in 2013 to the Musée des civilizations de l'Europe et de la Méditerranée (MuCEM) in Marseilles. Ms Sansour lives and works in London and Copenhagen.
