A Short Film About Freedom

Ireland/Great Britain 2008, 11' | Director, Screenplay, DoP, Production Carla MacKinnon, Guy King | Editor Gareth Davies | Sound Ed @ The Sanctuary

Seamus lives on a junkyard in Nottingham. His three sons are coming over from Ireland for the weekend. Strapped for cash, they hit the road with nothing but the wind in their hair. All of them want to be free, whatever that is. Filmed in part by the participants themselves, A Short Film about Freedom is a heart-warming tale about myth, memory, distance, love and the cost of freedom.
