Synopsis
"At first glance, life in Istanbul appears to be virtually out of control: If anything, though, the daily lives and aspirations of its inhabitants move at the slow pace of the cars stuck on the Bosphorus Bridge. Inspired by the stories of real characters working around the bridge, I wrote a script and offered them the chance to act themselves in the film. As the protagonists come up against their personal boundaries, I wanted to transgress the borders between real and unreal."
Aslι Özge

"A beautiful semi-documentary made with unerring instinct, one which picks up on a permanent theme in the Turkish cinema soberly and realistically. The city of Istanbul as the melting pot for millions of ordinary citizens who have to struggle hard to make their way in society."
Kirsten Risselmann, taz

With his styled hair, earring and bunches of roses, Fikret (17) has a bit of the Don Juan about him .In the gridlock on Bosphorus Bridge that links Asia and Europe, he attempts to sell the roses to the waiting drivers. At the same time, he is striving for a regular job in the Old Town of Istanbul.
Umut (28) drives a shared taxi and crosses the Bosphorus Bridge every day. Apart from working, he is searching for a better apartment. Yet with his current earnings he cannot hope to do justice to his wife's ambitions.
The traffic policeman Murat (24), who is stationed at the Bosphorus Bridge, also feels alone among the anonymous lines of cars. Each night at home, he logs into the Internet chartrooms, looking for love.
Although the three men on the bridge do not know one another, their dreams and hopes merge with the aspirations of millions of other Istanbulians.
