In the middle of a vast empty countryside, two newly-weds are sleeping peacefully in their car. They've run out of petrol and they are worn out after the wedding bash. At daybreak, leaving his wife in the car, the bridegroom sets off to fetch some petrol. The tranquillity, the morning light and the landscape all exercise a strange charm on him and soon his feelings of love and happiness turn into something darker, more frightening. Susanne Kurz was born in 1974. She studied documentary film and image composition at the University of Television and Film Munich (HFF) and at the Netherlands Film & TV Academy in Amsterdam.. 1, 2, 3 was her graduate piece. She now works as a freelance cinematographer.
