Award Winners: International Debut Feature Film Award 2012 for Belma Baş

Award Cermony 2012 (names see below)

Four prizes were awarded at the closing event of the International Women's Film Festival 2012, in the evening of Sunday the 22nd of April at the Odeon cinema in Cologne:

International Debut Feature Film Competition

The International Debut Deature Film Award, endowed with 10.000 € went to the Turkish director Belma Baş for her film Zephyr.

A special mention went to to french directing duo Delphine und Muriel Coulin for their film 17 Filles.


National Competition for Women Directors of Photography

Already announced in the run-up to the festival, the award for best cinematography in a fiction feature film, endowed with 2.500 €, went to Julia Daschner for her film Bergig which she directed as well. The award in the documentary film category, endowed with 2.500 , goes to Eva Katharina Bühler for her Der weiße Schatz und die Salzarbeiter von Caquena (aka "The White Treasure and the Salt Workers from Caquena"), which she also directed.


Audience Award

The Audience Award, endowed with 1.000 € by the magazine choices went to Britta Wandaogo for Nichts für die Ewigkeit.
