Vanilla Lament uses humour, real images, scratch technique and stop motion animation to tell this well-known story. The hand-made film was inspired by experimental women film-makers from the 1960s.


Multi-award-winning film-maker CATHERINE CROUCH is also responsible for several screenplays, including for the HBO production Stranger Inside. She was camerawoman for the documentaries With Pride: Ruth Ellis @ 100 and Sisters in Cinema by Yvonne Welbon. In Kelly Hayes' Slaves of the Saint she was involved in set design, scriptwriting and editing. Catherine Crouch lives in Indianapolis.
